sportscotland
sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland.
sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland. They use money raised by National Lottery players and Scottish Government to make everyone gets the most from the sporting system in Scotland. sportscotland’s vision is an active Scotland where everyone benefits from sport. An active Scotland where we will all find ways to be physically active every day. Keeping moving at home and at work. Taking an active approach to getting around. Choosing to be active in our leisure time.
sportscotland offers funding of all shapes and sizes: from small grants of a few hundred pounds to help grassroots sport projects to purchase new equipment, train new coaches, attract new members or improve their facility to up to £500,000 to improve existing or provide new sports facilities for Scottish communities.
As well as awarding funding, sportscotland also operates the national training centre Glenmore Lodge and the national training centre Inverclyde.
