The National Lottery releases infograph to highlight its contribution towards education and employment related projects

6th January 2014

With young people across the nation returning back to school, higher education and general employment this week, The National Lottery has released an education and employment related infograph to celebrate Day 6 of its ‘Just Imagine’ campaign.

Just Imagine is The National Lottery’s new nationwide campaign, launched January 1, to raise awareness of the massive impact that £31 billion in project funding has had across the UK since the first National Lottery draw 20 years ago this year.

The infograph image focuses on a series of illuminating facts that show the depth of National Lottery funding connected to projects that benefit education, employment and literacy-related projects.

Key statistics reveal that the National Lottery has funded a total of 12,700 after-school projects across the UK and has also helped provide 1,200 minibuses across the country for school and community projects.

The National Lottery has also granted a massive £378 million to projects that help tackle unemployment, whilst 1,500 grants have been made to help provision and IT and computer skills courses. The National Lottery has also funded a total of 90 literary festivals across the UK.

To enable people to learn more about National Lottery funded projects in their area, the National Lottery has launched a ‘Good Cause Finder’. To see projects in your area visit www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk
